A Hohenwald man has been indicted after authorities said he allegedly set fire to his restaurant in order to commit insurance fraud.
The incident happened on July 24 at Nick and Bubba’s Beer, Butts and Clucks on Dabbs Avenue.
Reports stated 35-year-old Nick Spicer was investigated by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
Officials said the investigation revealed Spicer was the one responsible for setting the fire.
Indictments were returned Monday by the Lewis County Grand Jury which charged Spicer with one count of arson and one count of insurance fraud.
Spicer was booked into the Lewis County Jail. He was then released after posting a $20,000 bond.
