A man has been injured in a shooting near north Nashville.
The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. Friday on 16th Avenue North.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said a man in his 40s or 50s was shot in the lower part of his leg. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with a non-life threatening injury.
The victim told police he did not know who shot him.
Crime scene tape has roped off a large portion of the street. Officers said multiple shell casings were found at the scene.
According to investigators, there are no witnesses at this time.
