A man has died in an overnight motorcycle crash in Hermitage.
The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday on Tulip Grove Road, just north of the intersection with Chandler Road.
Thursday morning, authorities identified the victim who was killed as 51-year-old Gary Belcher.
According to police, Belcher was driving south on his 2007 Harley Davidson when he failed to make a curve, lost control, and crashed.
Belcher passed away at the scene.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police shut down the road as investigators spent hours documenting the scene and taking measurements for reconstruction.
Tests have been requested to determine if drugs or alcohol were involved, but officials added it did appear speed may have been a factor.
