A motorcycle driver was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash in Hermitage.
The wreck happened just before 9:30 p.m. Saturday on Old Hickory Boulevard near the intersection of Central Pike.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the driver, whose identity had not been released, laid his bike down just before the intersection.
According to reports, no other vehicles were involved, but they said a silver Kia possibly had a scraped bumper from the bike as it was skidding.
Authorities confirmed the driver of the motorcycle was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. There was no word on his condition.
Officials said the cause of the crash was under investigation.
