A man was taken to an area hospital after being shot in the chest in north Nashville.
The shooting happened shortly before midnight Thursday in the 1500 block of Buchanan Street.
Specific details of the incident were not known at this time.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said a man was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his chest. His identity was not known.
Police have roped off a large area of the scene near 15th Avenue North. Several evidence markers could be seen on the ground.
There was no information on possible suspects.
