A man was shot overnight during a robbery in east Nashville.
The incident was reported shortly before midnight Tuesday at the CWA Plaza Apartments, not far from Shelby Avenue.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said the suspect approached two men and demanded their belongings.
One of the victims had nothing to give, while the other handed over a cell phone.
As the gunman was running away, police said he fired several shots at them. One of the bullets struck one of the victims in the side.
The 25-year-old was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and was recovering from a non-life threatening wound.
The second victim reportedly wasn’t talking to police.
The suspect was described as being about 5-feet 7-inches tall, with short dreadlocks and was wearing a red and blue shirt.
