A man was shot and killed in Wilson County, and authorities said they’re searching for a suspect.
The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of Needmore Road.
Details were limited, but officials confirmed they found a man at the scene who had been shot multiple times.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he later passed away. According to his family, the victim was identified as 51-year-old Vincent Clemmons.
"I'm shocked, and I can't believe it. We're going to miss him, but we're going to be alright," Mekkia Clemmons, his niece, told NewsChannel 5.
Authorities said the shooting was being investigated as a homicide. Anyone with information has been asked to contact the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office.
Clemmons was the same homeowner who lost his mobile house and two pets to a fire in April 2016.
