A teenager has been charged in the shooting death of a man in Davidson County.
The suspect has been identified as 17-year-old Tyler Atkins. He was charged with criminal homicide.
Officers with Metro Nashville Police were called to a mobile home on Queen Anne Drive in Madison shortly before 2:30 a.m. Monday.
Authorities said 56-year-old John Stowers was found dead on the porch. A friend called 911 after finding his body.
Neighbors in the area told police they heard what sounded like gunshots around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
Investigators said a dispute broke out between Stowers and Atkins, resulting in gunfire.
The motive for the shooting was not known.
