One man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after allegedly stabbing a 26-year-old in the back.
The incident happened around 3:48 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Peachers Mill and Pollard Road.
Authorities said the suspect, identified as 36-year-old Cleveland Jamar Summerville, also known as LaCleveland, got into an argument with his designated driver.
At some point, the victim was allegedly stabbed in the back.
Officials said Summerville left the scene with another friend, and the victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition.
Summerville was later interviewed and arrested for aggravated assault.
He was being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
A third party witness was believed to have been in the vehicle at the time of the incident, and police said they’re hoping that witness and any other person with information about the stabbing will call Detective Shaw at 931-648-0656, extension 5389.
