An alleged serial arsonist was taken into custody after a manhunt in Overton County.
Officials with the Livingston Police Department said Calvin Booher was arrested early Tuesday morning.
He was accused of setting fire to three homes, two of which he used molotov cocktails. One of them was his stepbrother's home, Michael Ogletree, and another belongs to a former circuit court judge.
"I was close to dying. I couldn't breath. I couldn't see. Nothing," said Ogletree, who lost his home. He said he was just glad he didn't lose his life.
A witness said Booher actually sat down to watch one home burn.
"He was sitting on the stump and watched the fire. I didn't know who it was," said Josh Harrison.
"Twenty two years - I've never experienced it. We went from fire A to fire B to fire C," said Police Chief Greg Etheredge.
According to investigators, Booher was also accused in a car fire and carjacking. Investigators said he was driving a stolen 2012 white Chevrolet crew cab truck.
Authorities with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Federal Bureau of Investigation assisted, as well as officials in surrounding counties.
