A McMinnville man has been arrested and charged with homicide.
Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the McMinnville Police Department investigated the homicide, along with the 31st Judicial District Attorney General’s Office.
The investigation into the death of 55-year-old Barry Cole began on February 6.
Cole’s body was found inside an outbuilding in the 100 block of Lind Street early in February.
Information discovered during the investigation led officials to 25-year-old Wesley Lex Leverett as the suspect.
Authorities confirmed Leverett was an acquaintance of Cole.
Saturday morning, officials took Leverett into custody and charged him with one count of criminal homicide.
Leverett was booked into the Warren County Jail. He was being held on a $1 million bond.
