A deputy for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has resigned following his arrest for stalking.

Sheriff’s officials said an investigation was launched on February 26 after he was arrested by Clarksville Police officers.

Details of his arrest were not known.

Pike had been with the sheriff’s office since 2008.

Authorities said his resignation does not change the status of the investigation.

No additional information was known.
