A fire at a local apartment complex damaged two units.

The fire happened after 2 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of Village Green Drive.

Authorities said they were assessing housing needs for those who lived there after two units were affected.

The building contained eight units.

It's believed the fire began in a closet in a back room, but the cause of the fire remained under investigation.

The extent of the damage was unknown, but officials confirmed there was water damage.

The two-alarm fire was knocked down quickly by crews. No injuries were reported.
