A suspected burglar was arrested after his roommate was shot and killed on Christmas Eve.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said a 16-year-old was found shot to death at a home on Wilclay Drive in west Nashville.
That case remains unsolved; however, it's led to the arrest of a suspected thief who may help police catch the killer.
Officers working the case reportedly discovered several stolen items, including electronics, jewelry and cash, at the home of the murder victim.
Detectives have now linked those items to victim's roommate.
Under intense questioning, police said he confessed to burglarizing several homes.
While he's not a suspect in his roommate’s murder, he's cooperating with police helping to develop possible leads in the case.
