A Nashville tradition brought together some of the city's best blues musicians in Printers Alley.

It was called "Musicians Reunion Day." The 33rd annual event was held at Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar.

Throughout the all-day blues festival, 14 musicians took the stage.

This year's reunion was also a tribute to Marion James, "Nashville's Queen of the Blues."

She passed away last New Year's Eve, and organizers said it was important to celebrate her life Sunday.

“Marion James is the inspiration for every single one of those 33 musicians’ reunions, and she continues to be,” David Flynn said. “We are trying to carry on her work and preserve her name and her music.”

The event also raised money for the Musicians Aid Society, which has helped local musicians in need.
