A Nashville organization celebrated 30 years in the community with a party with a message.
Nashville Cares held its anniversary gala Saturday night at Track One.
The group has provided services to people affected by HIV/AIDS in Middle Tennessee.
In addition to looking back on past accomplishments, the event also encouraged conversations about the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Middle Tennessee and what the organization has planned for the future.
“We need the support of the community, support of donors and sponsors, to get the resources we need to really bring HIV as an illness to an end in Nashville,” said Doug Alexander, Chief Development Officer of Nashville Cares.
Nashville Cares has offered services to more than 55,000 Middle Tennesseans affected by HIV/AIDS each year.
