Nashvillians celebrated Labor Day by attending the fourth annual Labor Day Parade.
The parade was held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday when it kicked off at SEIU local 205 in the 500 block of Central Avenue and marched down the Nolensville Road Corridor.
Those with the event said it was being held in honor of everyone who has worked each day to make a better life for their families and, in turn, kept our communities strong.
They added these people have been building an economy that has been based on worker values.
The parade was held by the Central Labor Council of Nashville and Middle Tennessee, the AFL-CIO, Middle Tennessee Jobs with Justice, and Workers' Dignity.
