NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Dax McCarty led Nashville SC to a 4-2 win over Atlanta United. The MLS vet had a hand in three goals, with two assists and one goal.
It was not only a first for Nashville's newly minted MLS team - it was also the first three goal night for McCarty, who's spent time in the MLS in New York, D.C., and Chicago.
Nashville got going early on, scoring in the first minute with Dominique Badji scoring off a McCarty header. Hany Mukhtar would add a goal to break the 1-1 tie in the 29th minute.
Nashville never looked back, carrying a 4-1 lead late into the game until Atlanta added a goal in garbage time.
