A nationwide Comcast outage has also affected customers in Middle Tennessee.
The interruption was reported Monday morning across many major U.S. cities, including Chicago, Denver, Houston, Baltimore and New York.
The outage also affected a large portion of the Nashville area.
Sara Jo Walker, Director of Public Relations for Comcast, said crews have repaired the network interruption and are working to restore service.
She also released a statement in part, saying:
“We’re continuing to investigate what appears to be a temporary network interruption that impacted some of our services this morning. Our engineers have been working on this and services are starting to be restored. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused our customers."
Walker said she did not know how many customers had been affected at this point.
