The National Press Photographers Association awarded NewsChannel 5's Jason Lamb with their prestigious "Reporter of the Year Award" on Friday night in Atlanta.
Lamb, who has been with NewsChannel 5 for close to four years, was recognized for his storytelling throughout 2015 on various pieces he produced with photojournalist Catherine Steward.
In an acceptance speech on Friday evening, Lamb, who was admittedly in shock, told the crowd, "I had nothing even prepared."
It was his first time winning the award.
NewsChannel 5's photojournalism staff was also a finalist for the National Press Photographers Association "Station of The Year Award."
