The Tennessee Department of Education has selected a new vendor to develop and administer the statewide TNReady tests.
Questar has been offered next year’s contract for the annual state assessment. The announcement was made Wednesday in a release.
"It is imperative the state get this selection right. We look forward to learning more about Questar and their ability to deliver for Tennessee students and educators. As always we want to see less standardized testing, and more educator input in the process,” Professional Educators of Tennessee COO Audrey Shores said in a statement.
The news comes after numerous delays with TNReady testing. Back in April, the Department of Education ended its contract with vendor Measurement Inc.
