No Injuries Reported In Wilson County House Fire

Posted

Wilson County fire crews said alert neighbors were likely the reason a family escaped a house fire safely.

The fire was reported shortly before 8:30 a.m. Friday at a home on Cedar Creek Village Road.

Neighbors saw the fire, called 911, and knocked on the door telling the family inside about the fire.

While the smoke alarms did eventually go off, the family was already outside when they sounded.

Crews said this fire was a good reminder to check the fire alarms in homes.

All Tennesseans can request free smoke alarms, and local fire departments will install them for free.
