The shelter-in-place was prompted by an off-campus domestic incident.
According to reports, the dispute could have possibly resulted in a student being picked up from Freedom Middle School by a parent who did not have permission to pick them up. No one ever came to the school.
Police said the issue was resolved within an hour, and they confirmed classes had continued as usual throughout the incident. The precaution only meant no one was allowed in or out.
The issue has been resolved and the shelter in place has been lifted. All students are safe and classes are continuing as usual.
