A corrections officer has been accused of sending text messages of a sexual nature to an underage girl.
Daniel Fanning, a 55-year-old Rutherford County corrections officer, was arrested in Wilson County.
Fanning has been charged with one count of solicitation of a minor and one count of soliciting the sexual exploitation of a minor.
Authorities said the victim told her parents and her parents informed police officers.
