An officer was taken to the hospital after a suspected drunk driver hit his patrol car on the interstate.
The crash happened just after 3 a.m. Saturday on the Silliman Evans Bridge off Interstate 24 East.
The officer was helping a driver on the interstate when another car hit his patrol car.
He was sitting in his patrol car when it was hit. Authorities said he was taken to the hospital, but his injuries were believed to be minor and non-life threatening.
