A brand new original American musical made its world premiere in Nashville.
"Part of the Plan" debuted at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center on Sunday.
It’s scored with the music and lyrics of the late singer/songwriter Dan Fogelberg.
This was the first time TPAC has produced and presented an original developmental production on its Broadway series.
Officials said so much of Fogelberg's life happened in Nashville, so it was a perfect place to launch the show.
“It’s beautiful and gorgeous,” said Kathleen O'Brien, President and CEO of TPAC. “It has a lovely story, and we are hopeful we will have a successful run and that there will be an opportunity to take it beyond Nashville.”
The production has been set to run through Sunday, September 24.
