An overturned tractor trailer has closed an off-ramp on Briley Parkway.
The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the eastbound lanes of Briley Parkway near Exit 18 for Interstate 24.
According to Nicole Martin, she had been driving home when she hydroplaned and ended up in the ditch, prior to the wreck involving the tractor trailer.
She waited with other drivers who stopped to check on her. She said she was waiting for her mother and police.
Not long after her mother got to the scene, the tractor trailer driver lost control and crashed into her mother's car, flattening it.
Details on why the semi driver crashed had not been released.
Martin said she's thankful no one was seriously injured.
Authorities said the off-ramp was blocked in that area to eastbound drivers. Westbound traffic was not affected.
Crews with the Tennessee Department of Transportation estimated the roadway would be cleared by 11:30 p.m.
