Authorities confirmed a pedestrian was hit and injured in a crash in Montgomery County.
Officials said the incident happened around 8:30 a.m. Saturday on the Highway 43A South Bypass, also known as Ashland City Road, near Queen’s Bluff Way.
According to witnesses, the 30-year-old white male had been running through traffic and caused a wreck when a driver had to swerve to miss him.
Not long after that crash, the man was hit by a tan Ford Explorer down the street.
Witnesses confirmed the man had been acting erratically and running toward vehicles.
The pedestrian was conscious and breathing. He was taken by Life-Flight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His condition was unknown.
Authorities said alcohol appeared to be a contributing factor.
