A portion of Mt. Juliet Road was closed after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.
Authorities said the incident happened Sunday evening before 9 p.m. on South Mt. Juliet Road near Providence Parkway.
Officials reported the male pedestrian was seriously injured and taken to a local hospital. His condition was not known.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, and the investigation was ongoing. The Tennessee Highway Patrol was called in to help with the investigation.
The roadway in that area was closed to all through traffic for about an hour. Crews stated just after 9:30 p.m. it had reopened.
