A pedestrian had serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle on Murfreesboro Pike.
The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday on Murfreesboro Pike at Martway Drive, just north of Bell Road.
Authorities said the pedestrian was not in the crosswalk. The vehicle that hit the victim remained at the scene.
The victim’s condition was unknown.
Traffic was slowed in that area during the early morning hours as crews worked at the scene.
