An American Airlines flight at Nashville International Airport was struck by a bird shortly after takeoff.
Officials said flight 248 had been scheduled to leave at 9:28 a.m. Sunday.
The plane turned around as a precaution when it struck the bird and landed safely at the airport.
According to reports, the bird hit the cockpit window, but no damage to the plane was found after an inspection.
The passengers on board were set to fly in the same plane. They took off at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
No injuries were reported.
