A suspect was taken into custody after police said he pulled a machete on a bouncer when asked to leave a Nashville-area bar.
The incident was reported around 3 a.m. Sunday, at a bar on Murfreesboro Pike.
According to an affidavit, Mario Galvez became angry when the bartender refused to serve him anymore drinks, and was escorted from the bar by a bouncer.
When he got to his car, the victim told police Galvez got out a machete and threatened him with it.
After retrieving his pepper spray, the victim said Galvez finally got into his car and drove away.
Moments later, an officer traveling down Murfreesboro Pike saw Galvez driving without his headlights on. The machete was found in the floorboard of the backseat.
Galvez was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
