A man suffered life-threatening injuries after being shot in the head in east Nashville.
The call came in shortly before 6 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Douglas Avenue and Montgomery Avenue.
Details of the shooting were not known.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said a passerby found the victim along the side of the road and called 911.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the head.
He was taken to an area hospital and is said to be in critical condition. His name was not known.
Officers have set up a command in the area.
