Two suspects have been arrested, while another remains at large in connection with a Craigslist robbery in Joelton.
Officers with Metro Nashville Police responded to a shots fired call on Grays Point Road around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
They found a wrecked Chrysler 300 that had been abandoned on the side of the road and the 18-year-old driver of a pickup truck.
He told police that he had arranged to meet with 20-year-old Ryan Kirby to sell him a 4-wheeler. Kirby allegedly arrived at the victim’s residence with 27-year-old James L. Bell III.
According to police, they were inside a garage looking at the 4-wheeler, when 21-year-old Tevan Spears entered and demanded the 4-wheeler and the victim’s belongings at gunpoint.
Kirby and Bell reportedly fled in the Chrysler 300, while Spears rode off on the stolen 4-wheeler.
Authorities said the victim chased after the 4-wheeler in his pickup truck but Spears allegedly fired shots and hit his truck.
All three suspects abandoned their vehicles and fled on foot.
Detectives later saw three men matching the suspects’ description walking on Clarksville Pike around 11 p.m.
They tried to flee again but Kirby and Spears were found hiding behind a building.
Bell remains at large. An arrest warrant charging him with aggravated robbery was issued Thursday morning.
Spears and Kirby were positively identified as the suspects. Spears was charged with attempted criminal homicide and aggravated robbery and held on $150,000 bond.
Kirby was charged with aggravated robbery and held in lieu of $25,000 bond.
