Alleged Barricade Leads To Warrant

Police said a warrant for domestic assault has been placed on a man they had originally believed was involved in a barricade situation.

Authorities said the incident was at the Fallbrook Apartments in the 300 block of Dellway Villa Road Saturday night, but the man in question was not found inside.

Officials said the incident stemmed from a domestic argument earlier in the day. They confirmed a man and a woman got in a fight. The woman then allegedly left the apartment, and when she returned, the man had a shotgun and she called police.

When officers arrived on scene they saw the man going back into an apartment, but they have since found an open window in the back which has led them to believe the man may not be inside.

As a precaution, they decided to send in crews to clear the area, since a shotgun had been involved. Police have confirmed the man never threatened the woman.

Those on the scene said residents were not being allowed to leave their apartments Saturday night.

Authorities confirmed the man was not found inside the apartment. They added they do not believe he is a danger to the public and said they've helped the victim with a warrant for domestic assault.

No further details were immediately available.
