Authorities have been searching for the driver of a tractor trailer after the semi fled from the scene of a crash on Interstate 24.
The wreck happened just before 11 a.m. Saturday near mile marker 54 in the westbound lanes of the interstate, at Thompson Lane just south of Nashville.
According to reports, a vehicle merged into a lane already occupied by the tractor trailer.
Officials said the vehicle became trapped under the trailer and was dragged about a quarter of a mile.
Once the vehicle broke free, the semi did not stop. Authorities said the only description of the semi they were given was a white cab with a trailer.
One person in the vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
No further details were available. Anyone with information has been urged to contact the Metro Nashville Police Department.
