As of noon Friday, the National Weather Service reported snowfall of 4.4 inches at the airport. It’s the most snow on that day since 1966.

The final snowfall totals ended up reaching 8-inches at the Nashville International Airport, which broke the 7.5-inch record also set in 1966.

Over the weekend, the airport technically remained open, with a few flights managing to land and take off.
