Detectives have been pursuing leads following the fatal shooting of a 67-year-old man.
The shooting happened around 6 p.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of 9th Avenue North at the Cheatham Place public housing development.
Police responded to a shots fired call and found 67-year-old Samuel Huff lying in the roadway.
Huff was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he passed away.
Reports stated Huff frequented the area where the shooting took place, but he did not live there.
Police described the gunman as a short black man who was wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts, and white shoes.
The motive for the shooting was unknown.
