Two people were killed and one other injured in a Charlotte shooting.
Officials with the Dickson County Sheriff's Office were called to the scene Tuesday afternoon.
The incident happened in a large area between Todd and Picnic Streets in Charlotte.
In a press conference the Dickson County Sheriff said one person was found in a car with a gunshot wound. EMTs tried to revive the person but were unsuccessful. The person died at the scene.
A second victim was found dead over a hill about a block or two away, and the third was found injured in the same area - near Picnic Street.
Deputies have been working with potential witnesses in the area. They had not yet released the identities of the three victims.
One gun was recovered from the scene.
"From what we know its isolated to this area and there's no reason for anyone to be concerned," said the Sheriff. He asked the community to give them any information they may have on the incident.
