A shooting victim was able to help police identify his alleged assailant after seeing him in a photo line-up.
The incident happened around noon Tuesday along Plantation Drive in Nashville.
The victim told officers with Metro Nashville Police that he was stopped at a traffic light when a man walked up, pulled a gun and started shooting.
The man was struck at least three times in the gunfire.
He was rushed to an area hospital, where he later helped police identify the suspect.
Detectives had developed a suspect and put together a photo line-up. The victim identified the suspect while still in the hospital.
That person was located and taken into custody.
The motive for the shooting was still not known.
