A Chicago man wanted in South Carolina on fraud charges was arrested in Franklin.
Officials with the Franklin Police Department said 46-year-old Warren Brown was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon at a Regions Bank on Murfreesboro Road.
Officers were called to the scene around 3:30 p.m. after reports of a suspicious person.
When police arrived, Brown allegedly fled on foot through the parking lot. He was captured moments later and placed under arrest.
According to investigators, he was wanted on fraud charges out of South Carolina.
Brown was charged with evading arrest and being a fugitive from justice. He was booked in the Williamson County Jail on a $251,000 bond.
