Sumner County Woman Arrested In Theft Scheme

Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed a Sumner County woman was arrested in for theft in Bradley County.

Authorities said 56-year-old Tamara Lynn Martin, of Goodlettsville, was taken into custody in connection to a scheme to defraud a Bradley County construction company.

Officials said they had been investigating Martin and discovered information that she received payment from Wright Brothers Constructing, Inc. in Charleston in August 2015.

According to reports, Martin was not entitled to the money and had falsified an internal email invoice.

A grand jury returned an indictment charging Martin with one count of theft over $10,000.

She was arrested Monday and was being held on a $75,000 bond.
