Police said they were busy chasing an erratic suspect Sunday.
According to the report, it all started as a burglary in progress at Lee's Motel on Murfreesboro Pike.
A worker called police and the suspect apparently ran to a nearby Shell gas station with a pink bag.

The report said the officer drew his weapon and told the suspect to get to the ground. They said he took off down the stairs and started running to Burger King.
At Burger King, the officer and the suspect got into an altercation and the officer said he was punched in the rib cage and the suspect got away.
K-9 officers were called in to track the suspect and they found him at the Mercury Apartments nearby.
Police quickly figured out the suspect broke into a home and began assaulting the tenant.
That victim was able to run outside as the K-9's and their handlers got to the neighborhood.
Police made entry into the home where the suspect allegedly started punching K-9 Officer Haggard.
According to the report, the K-9 officer bit the suspect –at which point he surrendered.
