A suspect has been charged after a crash involving a trooper with the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The incident happened Sunday after a speeding driver was spotted on Interstate 24 West in Davidson County.
Officials said the trooper tried to make a traffic stop but the suspect fled. From there, the pursuit continued to an area near Briley Parkway and Dickerson Road.
According to investigators, the suspect struck another car and also hit the marked cruiser twice.
The suspect was taken into custody and charged. His or her identity was not known.
