A suspect has been identified in connection with a shooting that killed a man and his stepson in north Nashville.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said arrest warrants have been issued for 29-year-old James Lee Simpson in the shooting deaths of 32-year-old Keon Hawkins and his stepson, 22-year-old Kemontanez Armstrong.

Simpson faces two counts of criminal homicide.
The victims had been visiting a home on Bessie Avenue back on June 7 at the time of the shooting. Gunfire erupted when they walked outside, striking Hawkins and Armstrong.
Police said Simpson arrived at St. Thomas-Midtown Hospital with a gunshot wound to his right arm one hour after the shooting. Ballistics evidence reportedly linked Simpson to the crime scene.
According to investigators, Simpson - a convicted felon for multiple drug offenses - also has prior convictions for felon in possession of a handgun and evading arrest.
