A pretrial hearing has been delayed for the man accused of brutally murdering 7-year-old Gabbi Doolin.
Timothy Madden appeared before a judge in the Allen County Courthouse Wednesday afternoon. His hands and feet were in shackles as he was escorted into the courtroom by deputies.
The defense attorney asked for more time to review evidence just provided by prosecutors earlier in the day. He told the judge he had subpoenaed two individuals to provide video evidence in the case. It was not clear what those videos contained.
A preliminary hearing was rescheduled for December 14.
Madden has already pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including rape and murder in the death of Gabbi Doolin.
Gabbi was found dead in a creek back in November. She had been watching her brothers play football when she disappeared.
The case has captured the attention and hearts of so many in her small hometown of Scottsville, Kentucky.
Madden was arrested just one day after Gabbi's emotional funeral.
He and Gabbi's father went to high school together, but Madden has maintained his innocence throughout his time in jail.
Madden's son, Bradley, also appeared in court Wednesday on multiple counts of intimidation and making terroristic threats against police. He was scheduled to be back in court on December 9.
