The man accused of shooting former Metro Councilman Loniel Greene has pleaded guilty in the case.

Back in July, 20-year-old Brandon Hunt-Clark struck a tentative deal with the District Attorney's Office, saying he’d plead guilty in exchange for not talking to the media.

Hunt-Clark was charged with shooting then Metro Councilman Greene in west Nashville back in November.

Greene, who served District 1, was shot three times near a Marathon gas station on Oceola Avenue.

Greene said he followed Hunt-Clark and the second individual because he thought he recognized one of them as a relative. He later resigned from council amid an investigation by the District Attorney’s office.
