A suspect was being sought after robbing a gas station in Smyrna.
The incident happened around 10:58 a.m. Sunday at the Shell station on Almaville Road.
Officials said the suspect displayed a black handgun to the teller and customers. He then left on foot toward Interstate 24 with an unknown amount of cash from the register.
The suspect has been described as a white man, standing around 5’5’’ with a stocky build, and he appeared to be in his early 20’s.
Police said he was possibly wearing heavy clothing, but they estimated he weighed around 200 to 250 pounds. He was seen wearing a black jacket with a hood, blue jeans, and a lime or neon green pair of gloves that had a black emblem on them.
