Authorities said they’re searching for a suspect who allegedly stole a cash register from a business in Rutherford County.
The incident happened at Sir Pizza in the 3200 block of Memorial Boulevard on December 3.
Officials said an unidentified white male had been sitting in the front lobby for 30 to 45 minutes. He told employees he was waiting for his wife.
The man allegedly stole the cash register from the counter and left the scene in an older model green truck that was either a Ford or a Nissan.
Witnesses reported seeing him drive down Memorial Boulevard and turn right into the Broadmoor subdivision where they lost sight of him.
The man could be seen in surveillance photos. He was described as being in his late 20’s or early 30’s. He was wearing a blue hoodie and a hat made out of hemp material. Officials said the vehicle did not have tags.
The man was wanted on a charge of theft over $500. Anyone with information on his identity has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-893-STOP (615-893-7867).
