Suspect Sought In Madison Home Invasion

A search has gotten underway in Madison for a suspect wanted in connection with a violent home invasion in Madison.

The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. Monday at an apartment complex on Archwood Place.

Officials with Metro Nashville Police said the armed suspect kicked down the back door and demanded pills.

At some point, the victim was struck in the head with the gun; although, police said there was no visible injury.

The suspect was able to get away with an Xbox and tried unsuccessfully to steal a mounted TV from the wall. 

Police said the man was described as an African American male who has a tattoo, possibly of a cross, underneath his eye. No additional description was immediately available. 

Officers and K9s were out most of the morning canvassing the area, but so far the suspect has not been located.
